Father and Son Team Build 2019 F-250 Dual-Role Rig
Doug and Brad DeBerti set out to build a uniquely capable Ford F-250 work truck for SEMA. So they created this 850 horsepower mobile toolshed!
Capable Truck
The first time the world laid eyes on this amazing build was at SEMA 2018. The Ford F-250 looks mostly unsuspecting and ordinary from the outside. But it hides a number of secrets that make it a supremely capable work truck. And this big boy is the handy work of an iconic father/son duo.

The Story of Doug DeBerti
Doug DeBerti is originally from the beautiful state of Montana. He moved to California as a young man and started his own business, building aluminum parts for automotive aftermarket companies. He would go on to found DeBerti Design and work with manufacturers and help them build unique show cars, like this one!

Like Father Like Son
Doug's son, Brad grew up wanting to work alongside his dad. And now that he's older, he has a chance to do just that. Doug and Brad are even part of a TV show together. And when they decided to start the build process with this Ford F-250, the goal was always to create a build that not only looks good but can also handle all the work that is asked of it.

Simple Inspiration
The idea for the build was first conceived when the DeBerti pair were in the process of remodeling Brad's kitchen. They came across a cabinet hinge configuration that would become the starting point for the concept. They got to work drafting sketches to send to Ford. And Detroit liked the idea so much, they sent over an F-250 for Doug and Brad to work their magic on.

Mobile Workshop
The first part of the truck to be modified was the bed. They modified the frame, as well as the body panels to be able to implement their utilitarian upgrades. The rear bumper cover is attached to a slide-out drawer. And every cubic inch of space within the bed has been used to make space for all the tools one would need.

Upgraded Suspension
But they didn't stop there. The father/son pair also wanted to give the truck a capable suspension system to be able to handle the toughest of terrains. A Cognito Motorsports 2-inch leveling kit is in place, which comes with Fox Factory 2.5-inch remote reservoir shocks. And the dual-rate coil springs, caster adjustable radius arms at the front, and SM Series Limited Dynamic Geometry traction bars at the rear help in the ride-quality department.

More Power, More Luxury
The power source wasn't going be let off the hook either. The turbo system on the 6.7-Liter Powerstroke was upgraded with a No Limit Fabrication setup. And the improved powertrain is now capable of 850 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque! And to round things off, the interior was given a luxurious touch to match the premium quality of the rest of the truck.
And just like that, Doug and Brad DeBerti turned their vision of building a do-it-all, pre-runner style Ford truck with secret toolbox storage into reality.
