Ready to Rock

Fans of the Ford Mustang are well aware of the RTR, or "Ready to Rock" brand. The semi-official Ford performance division was founded a few years back by pro drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. It wasn't long before the company was offering not only awesome bolt-on performance and appearance parts for later model Mustangs but complete turn-key cars as well. And now, much to our chagrin, they're also going to build and one killer RTR F-150.

No-Brainer Build

It was only a year ago when RTR rolled out their version of the ultimate F-150 at the SEMA show, and needless to say, it was a huge hit. That reaction, plus the incredible popularity of their Mustang builds make producing this awesome pickup a no-brainer kind of decision.

Natural Combination

For his part, Gittin Jr. certainly sounds excited about the new truck, too. “I am a longtime fan of the entire F Series lineup and the new F-150s are just mind-blowing on all fronts,” Gittin Jr. said back at the truck's SEMA reveal. “Expanding RTR into the Ford F-150 model has been a goal since day one.”

Catering to the Crowd

The concept RTR F-150 packs a 600+ horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8. But the company is thus far remaining fairly mum on what we can expect from the actual production pickup. As much as we love the V8, you can bet that they'll probably also do something to cater to the Ecoboost crowd, too.

Exterior Mods

RTR did reveal a handful of standard options that you'll find on every one of their F-150 builds. They include the company's signature upper grille with LED lighting, fender flares, a graphics package, and RTR 20” Satin Charcoal Tech 6 Wheels wrapped in 295/55R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on the outside.

Ready to Hoon

The suspension also receives at least one upgrade in the form of Fox 2.0 Performance coilovers. The concept truck featured a specially-tuned long-travel suspension setup, which we certainly wouldn't rule out on a truck build by a guy who loves to hoon his rides.

Say It Loud

Of course, no special edition worth its weight would roll out without lots of ways to let everyone know what you're driving. So the RTR F-150 also comes packing lots of badges, RTR-branded floor mats, and even a dealer serialized dash plaque Signed by Gittin Jr. himself.

Piecing It Together

If you aren't ready to plunk down the cash for a new turnkey RTR F-150, you'll also be able to purchase parts individually, just like for the Mustang. So far, those parts have proven to be incredibly popular among the pony crowd, and we bet they'll do well in the truck market, too.

Coming Soon

Both the turnkey RTR F-150 and individual parts are slated to go on sale in the first quarter of 2019. So you won't have to wait long to drive one of the more unique pickups on the road today, one that also comes with a factory warranty!
