MegaRaptor

Dubbed the MegaRaptor, the product of Wilmington, NC-based builder, MegaRexx takes a stab at bringing some F-150 Raptor-inspired off-roading attitude to the Super Duty Ford F-250. With an angry pre-runner look, this monstrosity is ready to take on just about everything you throw at it. And it's designed to be a bigger and badder version of the Motor Company's own Raptor.

Monster Tires

From the outside, the most prominent upgrades are undoubtedly those massive 46-inch Michelin XZL wheels (395/85 R20). The durable rubber is ready for any and all surfaces. And to ensure the capability of this beast, the folks at MegaRexx  have equipped it with Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) alloy wheels, each with a 10,000-lb weight rating.

Modifications Required

Of course, fitting the extra-large rolling stock means modifications to the body and suspension as well. Those wide flared fenders are designed to house the wheels. And a 2.5-inch lift kit allows the suspension to travel more freely for better off-road performance. Additionally, the front axle had to moved forward by 1.5 inches in order for the tires to clear the firewall!

Loaded Off-Roader

As you'd expect from any capable off-roader, the MegaRaptor comes equipped with features such as a built-in air compressor, LED lighting, skid plate, and safety reinforcements. The lifted truck also comes with electronically deployable running boards, allowing for easier ingress and egress.

Off-Road Capability

The F-250 retains its original bed, and importantly its factory 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8. The diesel motor is capable of a healthy 475 horsepower and a whopping 1,050 lb-ft of torque. Getting out of tough spots out in the wilderness won't be too big of a hassle with the combination of torque and all-terrain capability that the MegaRaptor has to offer.

Price of Admission

The grandeur of these machines can only be appreciated in person. For those who fancy one of their own, MegaRexx will give customers a place in line for an initial deposit of $5,000. To begin work on the truck, the builder will require the customer to ship them the donor Super Duty, along with 50% of the funds. Builds are estimated to take around two or three months to be completed.
