Beautiful 1973 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT Needs Nothing
This all-black 1973 Ford F-100 has pretty much everything you could want in a classic truck.
Special Find
While we love all Ford trucks, it's hard to beat a '70s short bed, four-wheel drive. Especially when it's Raven Black and in amazing shape. So when we came across this gorgeous '73 over at Fort Pitt Classic Cars, we knew we had found a winner.

Low or No?
Short beds certainly don't grow on trees, especially Raven Black ones with a reported 15,479 miles. There's no telling if that number has rolled over, but we can appreciate the condition of this truck regardless.

Looks Like New
The truck was repainted a couple of years ago, thus it certainly looks new. And all of the chrome trim, glass, and other bits look to be in excellent shape as well.

Deviate From the Plan
Somebody has added aftermarket wheels and bigger tires, but they're nothing that can't be easily replaced with more period correct rolling stock.

No Rot
The nice thing is it appears that this F-100 doesn't look to have ever suffered from any rot. And in this day and age, that's tough to find.

Plush Insides
The maroon interior is also said to be original, save for the steering wheel, and it's in very nice shape as well. Ranger-trimmed trucks like this one are also quite plush for their era.

Few Blemishes
There are a few typical blemishes, like a bit of surface rust on the shifter. But the rest of the interior is in nice shape with no obvious rips or tears.

Clean Undersides
The underside of this F-100 is also very clean, and we wouldn't be surprised if it has been repainted or touched up at some point, though that's not noted in the ad.

Highly Detailed
Lift the hood, and you'll find the old familiar 360 V8 in a rather clean engine bay. The seller does note that it's been detailed, and you can certainly tell by looking at it.

Worth Owning
Overall, this F-100 is a super clean example of one of our favorite trucks ever. And even if it had 115k miles instead of 15k, we'd be more than happy to park it in our garage!
