Healing Old Wounds

These days, we just kind of expect classic Ford trucks to have a little wear on them. After all, they're built to work, and you can't really work without accumulating those prideful wrinkles and scars along the way. But someone took special care of this particular '68 Ford F-250 we saw recently on Bring a Trailer, not to mention worked extra hard to cover up all of those signs of previous wear.

Welcome Redo

Wimbledon White and Rangoon Red is a classic, timeless color combination that looks fantastic covering this flanks of this old Ford. Reportedly, the truck was repainted by the previous owner, which explains why it's in such great shape. But you won't catch us complaining about that.

Don't Change

Thankfully, this truck's refurbishment didn't include changing any of the original exterior features. The old steel wheels and center caps remain, along with modest tires and towing mirrors. These classic pickups look amazing as-is, so why bother to mess up a good thing?

We're Not Worthy

As great as it looks in pictures, the seller did note that there are a few dings and paint chips here and there. But we certainly can't find them, so they can't be that bad. And they just make this old F-250 even more worthy as a driver or workhorse.

Cross-Country Adventurer

Hauling is no problem with this factory-equipped Camper Special, which sports heavy duty springs and various other equipment in addition to those large mirrors. This was a popular package back in the '60s, as many folks were looking for a rig that could take them on cross-country adventures.

Built-In Foot Warmer

The inside of this classic Ford sure looks like a pleasant place to spend a few hours, too. The requisite vinyl bench seat isn't as uncomfortable as you might think, though you will feel some drivetrain heat soaking through the rubber mat-laden floor. But hey, just think of it as a built-in foot warmer.

Few Frills

You won't exactly find many modern tunes to listen to, given the fact that this F-250 only has an AM radio. But you might just find some interesting alien conspiracy theory radio stations to listen to while on a long road trip.

Get 'Er Done

Pop the hood, and you'll find an old trusty 360 V8, which is backed up by a 3-speed automatic transmission. It might not be the most powerful thing Ford ever put in an F-Series pickup, but it'll get the job done.

Fresh Power

The odometer shows 67k miles, though there's no telling if it has turned over once or twice. Regardless, the truck reportedly runs great thanks to a new long block assembly and rebuilt carb that was installed just a couple of years ago.

Properly Owned

It's quite obvious that whoever owned this beautiful F-250 in the past cared for it properly. The truck has quite the extensive paper trail, including full maintenance records. And thanks to those efforts, we can bask in its glow of excellence for many more years to come!
