7 Ford Truck Based Rock Crawlers

Making a Ford truck capable of extreme rock crawling can take a lot of work, but the results are marvelous. Can you spot the 2 that aren't real, actual sized, Ford trucks?

1. Stripped Down and Ready to Crawl

When it comes to rock crawling, it doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to crawl. This Ford truck is stripped down, but if you look closely, the suspension system on it can crawl over almost anything. The drop down from the cabin looks rather steep, though.

2. 1994 Ford Truggy

This is a good example of making the best of an older Ford truck. It is probably street legal, but that's not important; what is important is that this truck can tackle the roughest of terrains ou there. Its simplicity can only make it more effective when rock crawling, due to its tremendous suspension flexibility and extreme lightweight.

3. Nothing but Crawls

This Ford truck is built for one purpose, and one purpose only, to crawl over rocks. The rugged design is probably not the best for fast off-roading or mudding, but it is extremely capable of the craziest rock crawling terrains. There is nothing like a roll-cage, crazy suspension, and bucket seats; the rest is irrelevant.

4. Classic Crawler

Some people like to keep their classics in pristine conditions, while others like to crawl over rocks with them. This beautifully restored Ford classic looks gorgeous, but it probably looks much better going over some rough rocks. Let's see how long this paint can shine for.

5. What Rocks?

It is quite obvious this truck is the ultimate rock-crawling machine. Between the giant tires, the grille guard, and the stripped down design, this truck has one purpose in life, to go over roads that no normal vehicle could. Look closely at the roof of this Ford truck, and you will see a roll cage on the outside of it. You simply can't break this vicious crawler.

6. Ultimate Crawling Machine

This Bronco looks like it is capable of a lot of rock crawling, but in reality, we all just want to see it in a museum. Perhaps one of the best looking rock crawlers around, this Bronco is fully restored, and it is ready to tackle whatever you put in front of it. Just please, don't scratch the paint.

7. F-250 Crawler

We are used to seeing lightweight trucks as rock crawlers, but there is something about an F-250 crawling over rocks that will make you happy. This is a full-size Ford F-250, and it is not stripped down by any means, but something is telling us it won't have any issues going over big rocks.
