1. The First-Generation Explorer

The least considered, but highly capable off-roader from Ford can be found in their first generation Explorer. This follow-up to the Bronco is more widely known as a luxury or family-fun SUV. The first model, however, was very capable of crawling the rocks.

2. The Bronco

You can't keep a good SUV down. The first era of the SUV rolled in on the flagship Bronco. This beast of a truck was equally adept on dirt as it was on the pavement.

3. The Original F-150

Before the Raptor badge was stuck on this truck, the original F-150 was the off-road truck to own. It has virtually owned the Baja series with impressive wins time and time again.

4. The Ranger

Not to be outdone by its cousin the F-150, the Ford Ranger has also had it's share of Baja victories and holds a special place in the hearts of many off-road enthusiasts.

5. The F-250

Just in case you have plenty of buddies to go rock hopping with, don't forget that the F250 was playing in the dirt long before the Raptor. This beast is capable of hauling a small village of elders over some of the roughest terrain imaginable.
