1. F150 SVT Lightning Colors
When the second-gen SVT Lightning was introduced, it was only offered in three colors: red, black, and white. By 2004, the F-150 SVT was offered in seven different paint colors; in addition to the red, black, and white, buyers had choices like silver metallic, true blue, dark shadow grey, and sonic blue.

2. Super Duty Transmission
The Ford F-150 SVT Lightning was equipped with a 4R100, which is a four-speed automatic usually found in the Ford Super Duty trucks. This monstrous transmission delivered power to a 9.75" rear axle, which increased the power and torque tremendously when compared to the regular Ford F-150.

3. SVT Suspension
Since the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning was designed to be much faster than most trucks on the road, the regular F-150's suspension system was swapped with a special sport suspension system, which featured Bilstein shocks. The sporty suspensions reduced axle-wrap in the rear of the truck, which was quite necessary since the engine produced 450 pound-feet of torque.

4. World's Fastest Production Pickup
For the entire second generation of the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, the truck was the world's fastest production pickup truck. The Guinness World Records certified the F-150 Lightning with the "world's fastest pickup" title when one went as fast as 147 mph.

5. SVT Lightning Prototypes
As of right now, Ford hasn't introduced a third generation for the F-150 SVT Lightning. Several prototypes have risen since 2005, but we have yet to see it become a reality. Some claim the Ford Tremor is the equivalent of the SVT Lightning, but we are promised a real SVT one day soon.
