1. Thief Makes Off with F-450 and Tools

The driver of a 2004 F-450, which belongs to ADC Concrete of Union City, Ohio, probably didn't expect to be on the news after spending a night at an Indianapolis hotel.  But when he woke up in the morning to go to work, he instead found that his truck, along with a whopping $40,000 in tools, was gone.  The theft was just one of a rash of incidents involving stolen Super Duties, which have been popular targets among thieves in Central Indiana.

2. Denver Thieves Target Ford Trucks

Denver police are baffled at the sudden spike in Ford truck thefts this year, a trend that coincides with F-Series pickups becoming the most stolen in the country last year.  Though older trucks are easier to break into, thieves have been targeting anything with a Ford badge, and they are stealing them in broad daylight, not just late at night. Police are recommending that owners install anti-theft systems that do more than factory installed units.

3. 17-year-old Leads Police on Wild Chase

A 17-year-old was charged with a (fitting) 17 crimes after leading police on a wild chase in a stolen Ford truck, a chase in which he dragged the owner of the truck behind him while trying to escape.  Police witnessed the truck speeding away from the scene of a robbery with the owner hanging outside the driver's door by his arm.  Thankfully, the owner avoided getting run over, and police eventually stopped the truck to arrest the teen after the wild chase.

4. California Teacher Leads Police on High Speed Chase

California is famous for many things, among them high speed police chases that are always caught on camera thanks to news helicopters.  One of the most bizarre in recent memory involved an F-150, driven by a suicidal teacher wanted for sex crimes.  The man fled after police tried to pull him over, and he led them on a chase that lasted over an hour.  The weight of the truck made stopping it a chore, but the driver eventually lost control and crashed through a fence, down a hill, and into a house in a crazy ending to a crazy pursuit.

5. Woman Rams Cheating Husband with His F-150

Cheating tends to bring out some strong emotions in folks, but an Oregon woman took things to the extreme after she caught her husband with his suspected mistress.  The woman pointed a gun at the homewrecker and then proceeded to hop into her husband's 2003 F-150, ramming him with it as he tried to get on his motorcycle. Needless to say, she was charged with a number of crimes including attempted murder.
