Mechanical Changes
2024 Super Duty engine options mostly carryover from 2023. However, for 2024, the new 6.8-liter V8 adds flex-fuel capability on what Ford calls "complete pickups" - or those that come equipped with a bed, not chassis cab models. This means that owners can run not only regular old pump gas, but also E85, too.

Paint Colors
In terms of exterior paint colors, the 2024 Ford Super Duty adds two new options - Darkened Bronze Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat - which take the place of the discontinued Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat and Stone Gray hues.

Tech Features
In terms of tech features, the 2024 Super Duty now comes with one-year of Connected Navigation services included for XLT models with the Premium Package, as well as Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims. The Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch feature is now available on XL and XLT models, while Programmable Engine Idle Shutdown (86K) is optional on XL and XLT, too. Finally, Heated Steering Wheel Removal and LED Projector Headlamp Dynamic Bending and Auto Leveling Removal options have been deleted, thanks to an improvement in the supply chain.

Packages
For 2024, the Super Duty adds a pair of new packages - the Heavy-Service Package for Pickup Box Delete (63R) and Pickup Box Delete - while also deleting the 360-Degree Camera Package without the Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) Camera.

XL
The base XL trim comes equipped with the 6.8-liter gas V8 as standard, while adding the STX package gives customers the option of getting the 7.3-liter Godzilla V8. Otherwise, the XL is the only Super Duty that can be had in rear-wheel drive configuration, and as has historically been the case, it's a bare-bones work truck offering with a black grille, door handles, and bumpers, painted steel wheels, vinyl flooring, cloth seats, though also an 8-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4.

The XLT offers a number of upgrades over the XL including four-wheel drive and the 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 as standard, along with a chrome grille and bumpers, fog lamps, larger painted cast aluminum wheels, carpeting, and a five-speaker AM/FM stereo.
Lariat
Meanwhile, the Lariat represents the entry-level luxury trim level for the Super Duty, adding niceties like step bars, a bright chrome grille, body-color handles, LED box lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED headlights, remote tailgate release, fancier wheels, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, and a 12-inch SYNC 4 screen to the mix.
