Daily Slideshow: 2017 Rogue F-150 Is a Raptor on Steroids

For most, a stock Ford Raptor is more than enough truck. But for the rest of us, there's this Rogue Raptor.

Raptor for the Rest of Us

Ford's F-150 Raptor is already one of the most capable off-road trucks on the planet. Heck, it's pretty darn good on-road, too. So why mess with a good thing? Well, that's a question as old as the automobile itself. And the answer, quite simply, is because we can.

The previous owner of this insane Rogue Raptor, which we spotted at Gateway Classic Cars, certainly felt that way. They also clearly wanted to build something even more capable. So they sunk a bunch of money into doing just that.

Travel Farther

A reported $30,000 went into the suspension of this Raptor, which seems insane given the truck's base price of just over $50k. But hey, who are we to judge? Those mods are good enough to give this Raptor an additional 3" of suspension travel up front and 6" out back.

Beautiful and Functional

To gussy up the outside, Rogue Enforcer bumpers were added. They were also painted Avalanche White to match the rest of the truck, along with the fender vents. And interestingly enough, those bumpers also help increase the truck's approach angle to 37 degrees.

Tasty Combo

To help shine some additional light on the situation, off-road lighting was added to those new bumpers. Toss in a white painted grille, black hood stripes, and a set of gold wheels with new rubber, and you've got one attractive package.

Attention Grabber

If nothing else, these modest styling changes are more than enough to set you apart from the "average" stock Raptor. As if those are special enough, to begin with. And you're sure to draw even more attention than those widebody F-150s!

Rides Like Stock

And you won't notice a change in the way this truck drives, either. Rogue's stage 16 kit up front, when combined with a new cantilever setup out back, is designed to maintain the stock Raptor's ride and handling characteristics while also giving it additional off-road capability.

Leaving It Alone

As much work went into the suspension of this Rogue Raptor, the interior is bone stock. But as plush as these stock Raptors are, why bother? You've already got some pretty subtle leather and attractive trim, so no need to mess with it.

Matching Set

Lift the bed cover, however, and you'll find a welcome spare. Which is something you'll appreciate if you ever get a flat tire. It's much better than crawling under the truck, after all. Or trying to drive around with one mismatched tire.

Modest Boost

Like the interior, the owner of this Rogue Raptor didn't bother messing with the stock 3.5-liter Ecoboost. Well, save for installing a Ford Performance exhaust and cold air intake. Personally, we'd give this thing a tune at the very least, just as an easy way to unlock more ponies.

Turnkey Solution

With thirty grand in beefy goodies underneath, we were expecting this pickup to cost a pretty penny. But the asking price of $115k still seems pretty steep. But if you want/need a pickup that takes the Raptor to 11, we can't think of a better way to get there. At least easily!
