Fantastic Paint

The red paint is clearly the perfect color for an attention-grabbing vintage truck like this one. It has a terrific gloss and shine that gives the truck a bolder touch. Plus, the silver center section and roof are a great complement to the sporty red and highlights the rugged shape of the body.

Polished Work

Speaking of the truck’s body, these Fords are quite popular because they combine the square-jawed tough appeal with some nice brightwork. The mirror-like appearance of chrome bumpers and grille help complement the glossy paint, especially when driven in the sunshine. Add the complete Ranger trim, bed rails, and addition of 15-inch polished wheels, and no doubt there’ll be many drivers who will have difficulty keeping their eyes on the road as this truck passes by.

A Real Truck

As great as this truck’s presentation is, this pickup can still get the job done. The bed has plenty of space to haul home workloads and the lifted 4x4 stance adds versatility. What’s more, the rear chrome step bumper has space for a trailer ball.

A Look Inside

Take a look inside and you'll see even more great investments. Beginning with a custom two-tone red and black seat, this color theme is carried through on the doors, floor mats, and dash for a uniform custom presentation. There's also a custom overhead console that houses a modern AM/FM/CD stereo. The truck’s Gripp three-spoke sports steering wheel is the perfect complement to the tall floor-mount stick shift to give the driver a great sporty feeling.

Under the Hood

Powering this 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger is the company’s 351 cubic-inch V8. It’s been enhanced with a host of performance goodies such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers that add power while feeding the wicked-sounding dual exhaust. Beyond upgraded power, the engine looks particularly nice within the painted engine bay with the chrome air topper, matching valve covers, and newer belts and hoses, making it a great show truck too.

It Can Still get Around

With newer radius arms up front, newer bushings, newer shocks, General Graber tires, and a versatile two-speed transfer case, this vintage truck is still a terrific 4x4. Of course, for the days you just want to go to the hardware store, the four-speed manual transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes all mean this truck can run around town with ease.
