1979 Ford F-350 Is a Masterfully Maintained Throwback
Daily Slideshow: If this beautiful 1979 Ford F-350 doesn't bring back fond memories, then nothing will.
Fond Memory
There was a time when you would see trucks like this gorgeous 1979 Ford F-350, recently listed at Bring a Trailer, all over our nation's roads. Today, however, these classic trucks have slowly given way to a sea of boring crossovers. So as you might imagine, the very sight of this incredible Ford brought back some very fond memories for us, and we're betting it will for you, too.

Stand Out
Truthfully, we haven't seen a set of those classic Yosemite Sam mud flaps in many years. But aside from that attention-grabbing feature, this F-350 stands out for being, well, pretty outstanding. But that's typically the case with one-owner (now two), 50k-mile pickups.

Nearly Original
The classic dark blue/light blue two-tone paint certainly looks new, and this pickup is nearly original save for a couple of modifications including a Pioneer stereo, ancillary gauges, H4 headlights, and GE aircraft auxiliary lights.

Carryover Theme
The interior is likewise in excellent condition, with little visible wear. It carries over that blue on blue theme, with some white accents for good measure. According to the seller, the air conditioning works, but the radio and factory temperature gauge are the only things not operational.

Getting Lucky
Even the seat looks like it's rarely ever been sat in. It's pretty clear that the longtime owner of this Ford took incredible care of his beloved ride, and that makes the new owner one lucky individual.

Big Power
This Camper Special packs a mighty 460 V8 under the hood, which looks pretty clean and tidy. A C6 automatic transmission handles the shifts and sends power back to the Dana rear end packed with steep 4.10 gears.

Remarkably Clean
Take a peek under the truck, and you'll find a remarkably clean undercarriage as well. There's a little wear here, but nothing like you'd find on most trucks with this kind of age on them.

Salt Free
Living its entire life in Portland, Oregon, you might expect to see a lot more rot than this. But this truck was obviously either never driven on salty roads or properly rinsed off after it was.

Worth the Cost
It's no surprise then that the seller is a dealer who is likely just flipping this old Ford for a profit. And in this day and age, somebody is going to line up and pay the price, but in this case, we can't blame them.
