Baby, You're Much Too Fast

There are two types of drivers who are drawn to the vintage Bronco craze currently sweeping auto shows and the hearts of automotive connoisseurs nationwide: those who want a vehicle that boasts vintage sporty style and those who are ready to race to the top of the trailhead. The latest offering from Pensacola Florida’s Velocity Restorations offers both: head-turning sharp looks with supercharged performance that will light up any road.

Jump on the Road

This ’75 Bronco has been expertly restored by Velocity’s team with a priority on power. The truck’s 2017 Ford Coyote 5.0 engine features a Whipple 2.9 Supercharger mated to a 4-speed 4R70W transmission. That powerplant offers a staggering rear-wheel 500-horsepower capability mean enough to give drivers the opportunity to lay waste to their favorite dirt trails or local highways.

Pocket Full of Horses

The truck is as striking to the eye as it is to drive. Its cherry-red PPG custom paint job makes a statement on every road, particularly given the gleam of its all-new custom-fit chrome bumper. All-new glass and weather sealants keep the elements at by, while J.W. Speaker brand 8700 “Evolution 2” dual burn LED 7" headlights illuminate the road ahead.

Gimmie the Keys

The Velocity team paid special attention to this ’75 Bronco’s chassis as well. Among the new components include new front and rear sway bars, a new long arm front suspension, and a 9-inch rear axle. Before this restoration began, this vehicle was without one of its new key safety features. Velocity custom-built a six-point roll cage in house, adding not only a terrific sporty look but key protection for driver and passenger alike.

Nobody Waitin' At Home

The true finesse utilized in this restoration is evident in the truck’s front dash, where all-new retro-styled digital gauges take the place of the vehicle’s original logistics. Black leather seating offers a sleek but comfortable setting for drivers and passengers alike. In addition, the rear bench seat folds to offer additional cargo room if needed.

On the Verge

While Velocity Restorations continues to be a force in the original Ford Bronco restoration game, few of their projects have packed the impressive performance power found in this 1975 Ford Bronco Whipple 2.9. Thanks to an incredible power plant and custom rebuilt chassis tailor-made for off-road performance, it’s safe to say this Bronco’s best days of adventuring are well ahead of it.
