Daily Slideshow: Old, original Ford trucks just don't get any nicer than this stunning, 9k-mile F-100.
Beyond Belief
If you want to buy a nice '70s Ford truck, you have plenty of choices out there at the moment. The massive popularity of these trucks has them rising in value, which of course means that plenty of folks are more willing to part ways with them. But no matter how nice those trucks may be, they'll have a hard time holding a candle to this 1974 F-100 we found over at Mecum Auctions.
Mind Blowing
The simple act of looking at this truck is mind-boggling. Mostly because it's so incredibly nice for something that's completely original. But that's to be expected from a one-owner pickup with an insanely low 9,324 original miles.

Carefully Stored
Supposedly, this Ford F-100 was stored away under blankets for many years, the interior always covered as well. It remained that way from the day it was purchased new by the original owner. And they kept it until this past spring.

Truly Special
Thus, we're inclined to believe the incredibly low mileage on this F-100 is indeed correct. This is also a pretty well-optioned pickup, with Ranger XLT trim, power steering, and even the trailer special package.

Basic Maintenance
The 2nd owner has done some basic maintenance work to ensure this old pickup runs right, however. That includes installing new brakes, reconditioning the radiator, cleaning the fuel system, and replacing the ages-old tires.

Worth Preserving
The exhaust needed a replacement as well, so that was taken care of, too. But all of this work was done with correct replacement components. Clearly, this short bed F-100 is something worth preserving, so we're glad someone focused on exactly that.

All the Right Stuff
Heck, it even has a 390 under the hood, not some lesser engine. And it's backed up by an automatic transmission and 3.50 rear gears. Thus, this short-wheelbase, two-wheel drive pickup is probably pretty darn fun to drive, too.
