1966 Ford Bronco Service Truck Is Ready to Work
Daily Slideshow: The first-gen Bronco was an enormously popular little off-roader. But it was also a popular choice among service stations.
Service Truck
We often think of the Ford Bronco, particularly in the earlier years, as a vehicle most folks purchased as a fun little off-roader. But the first-gen Bronco also became quite the popular shop truck for service stations back in its time. And you won't find a better reminder of that bygone era than this gorgeous 1966 Bronco, which we discovered over at Sports Car LA.
Full Service
Today, most service stations only offer you gas and numerous gut-busting snacks with drinks. But back in the '60s, many were full-service stations that offered things like towing and repairs. So the Bronco obviously made a perfect choice. It could go anywhere, haul parts, and tow folks out of precarious situations with ease.

Time Capsule
Today, you rarely see any of these old service station Broncos in their original livery, as most have been painted and converted back to civilian use. But not this beauty - it still wears its service station logos with pride.
Barely Used
Not only that, but the Bronco has a mere 40,700 miles showing on the odometer. Which is likely accurate, given the fact that it was used mostly for local duty. It's also in exceptional cosmetic condition, despite its age.

Well Preserved Piece of History
We have no doubt that this classic Bronco parts hauler served its owner well for many years. And in the many years since then, it's obviously been well-cared for somewhere. Which is quite rare for a service truck, but we're glad that it worked out that way!
