Wait, how much???

Sigh. Buying a new Ford is expensive. You can blame it on inflation, you can blame it on tariffs, and you can blame it on about a dozen other factors. But the fact remains that the MSRP on a new Ford vehicle can give you sticker shock. And nothing inflates a vehicle’s MSRP like expensive options or packages. If you thought that high-priced options were reserved for brands like Porsche, you would be mistaken. There are some Ford options/package prices that are so expensive that you could buy a brand-new truck for the same money.

What are these expensive options? Well, we are glad you asked. We put together a list of the most expensive single options/packages that you can buy on a Ford vehicle today. We opened this up to all Ford products, not just trucks. Are these options worth the money? Only you and your accountant (or significant other) can answer that question. But here are the 10 most expensive Ford options available today.

10. Super Duty Platinum Plus Package - $7,000

At $7,000, this is the “cheapest” Ford option on our list. That should give you an idea about just how expensive some options can be. In any event, if you want the most luxurious Super Duty available, you need to spring for the Platinum Plus Package. So, what do you get for your seven grand? Quite a lot, actually. Highlights include: a Smoked Truffle interior with Venetian Leather seats with French stitching and upgraded perforated seats, twin panel power moonroof, unique 20-inch wheels, Satin Chrome finishes on the grille, door handles and tailgate. The list goes on and on.

The package also includes a Premium Maintenance Plan, an accessories discount, and even a welcome package and tribute item. You get a lot, but you pay a lot for this Super Duty Platinum Plus Package.

9. Bronco Raptor Black OR Shadow Black Appearance Packages - $7,695

The Raptor Black and Shadow Black Appearance Package both will set you back the same $7,695. They are both nearly identical packages with just a slight variation. Essentially, what you are getting is a hood graphics package, interior carbon fiber, side view mirrors in Gloss Black, a Black-painted hardtop, and 17-inch Dark Carbonized Gray Alloy painted, beadlock capable forged wheels. You'd certainly pay more than $7,700 to achieve this in the aftermarket, but still that's a lot for a sticker pacakge.

8. Bronco Base Sasquatch Package - $8,460

This one is interesting because the first two options on our list are offered on vehicles that start at about $80,000. However, a base Bronco starts at half that amount. That means, at $8,460, the Sasquatch Package adds roughly 20 percent to the price of the vehicle. That being said, this is a badass option. You get the advanced 4x4 system, 35-inch tires on 17-inch Carbonized Gray-painted alloy wheels, high clearance suspension and fenders, electronic locking front and rear diff, and more. This one package gives the Bronco its Bronco-ness. (But it might actually be a better deal to get the Badlands.)

7. F-150 Raptor 37 (802A) Equipment Group - $11,470

Here we are back to the world of $80K vehicles. The F-150 Raptor is already expensive (and awesome) before adding any options. But going with the Raptor 37 option tacks on a whopping $11,470. The first 5-figure option on our list. For that money, you get 37-inch tires on beadlock-capable wheels, dual valve adaptive shocks, a modular front bumper, Alcantara and leather RECARO seats, and some carbon fiber appliqués on the interior.

6. F-150 Tremor High Package (402A) - $11,710

Just because the F-150 Tremor is less expensive than the F-150 Raptor doesn’t mean you can’t spend just as much on options. Case in point, the Tremor High Package at $11,710. To be fair, it does come with a laundry list of features. Hi-lock transfer case, Torsen front differntial, modular front bumper, LED taillamps, Bang & Olufsen sound system, second-row heated seats, heated steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera are just some of what is included.

5. Super Duty 6.7L High Output Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel - $13,495

The High Output Power Stroke is the single most expensive option in the entire Super Duty lineup. $13,495 might sound like a crazy number, but before you pass judgment, consider a couple of other crazy numbers. 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque. If you need to tow the really heavy loads, then you need the 6.7L H.O. engine. (NOTE: to save a few bucks, opt for the standard output 6.7L, which is only $9,995.)

4. Expedition Platinum Ultimate Package - $13,570

This might be the most surprising on the list because who would have thought an Expedition would have a $13,570 option? Well, it does, and it is only available on the already pricey Expedition Platinum model. Adding this option gets you close to building a six-figure SUV. But you do get some serious equipment for the money. The most obvious is the gigantic 24-inch wheels. A couple months ago, I test drove a $345K Lamborghini Urus SE, and even that had “only” 23-inch wheels. The Platinum Ultimate Package also includes the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 High Output Engine (440 horsepower), high flow exhaust, auxiliary grille lights, second row dual captain chairs, and a lot more. It is pricey, but it will let you brag to Lambo owners about your 24-inch wheels.

3. F-150 Platinum Plus (703A) Equipment Group - $14,200

The F-150 Platinum Plus (703A) Equipment Group option is similar in concept to the Platinum Plus on the Super Duty, but it's twice as expensive on the F-150. Why is that? The Premium Maintenance Plan, accessories discount, welcome package, and tribute item are the same. However, this option also gets you the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 engine with Pro-Power Onboard 7.2kW. You also get 22-inch wheels, full quilted leather seats, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, wheel well liners, and more. It is the most luxurious F-150 you can get (and closer to the Expedition Ultimate), but you will pay for the privilege.

2. F-150 Raptor R (803A) Equipment Group - $31,925

The Raptor R package costs about the same as a brand-new Mustang EcoBoost Fastback. However, the Raptor R packs a 720-horsepower 5.2L supercharged V8 under the hood. You also get a ton of Raptor R graphics and decals to let everyone know it. Other items included are 37-inch wheels, dual valve shocks, a modular front bumper, and unique 17-inch bead lock capable wheels. But the big money item is the engine. You gotta pay to play.

(And once you do, you can pay even MORE to give your Raptor R 900 horsepower!)

1. Mustang GTD Performance Package - $40,000

To be fair, we could have filled this whole list with Mustang GTD options. But what would be the fun in that? So, we decided to select just one from the most expensive Mustang ever, and that one is the Performance Package. You know, just in case the most powerful, most expensive, and most racetrack-ready Mustang doesn’t already have enough performance. The package consists mostly of aerodynamic and lightweight bits. The rear wing gets a drag reduction system; up front, you get a large splitter. Underbody flaps are also part of the deal. The wheels are also upgraded to 20-inch magnesium units.

A $40K option on a Mustang might sound crazy, but at this price point, buyers aren’t concerned with such petty things like money. This is currently the most expensive option in the Ford lineup.
