How to reset fuel alcohol content without bidirectional scanner?
Hey all!
Got a 2009 e250 4.6l with a p0172 and p0175 code. I’ve been chasing it around for a few days and realized today that my fuel alcohol percentage is around 70% even tho I’m running regular gas. I think the computer thinks I’m running e85 and I’m guessing and hoping that this would fix my problems. I’m wondering if there is a way to reset the fuel alcohol % without a bidirectional scanner. Thanks a bunch!

Don't know if you've tried it but Google says disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes will cause that value to reset.
They suggest driving city and highway after reconnect to give varied driving conditions as the truck re-learns the proper value.
