I have been an F350 owner for about 15 years now and love it. I daily drive it a lot, but I needed something older with no computers.
I wanted to straight 6, manual trans, and (first time in my life!) 2wd. I basically need the simplest, most bullet proof vehicle.
I found a 1969 with the 240 and manual trans. The previous owner started tearing down the truck "to replace the seals".
This is my first time owning something this old and this is step 1 on my journey.
i feel good buying a basket case since I will be putting a solid, old pickup back on the road.
If you have any comments, I would love to hear them!
Oh, and is it worth it to pull the 240 and find a 300? It appears to not be much trouble, especially at this stage.
