I have owned a 2001 F250 7.3, 2007 Dodge 2500 5.9, and a 2011 Chevy 3500 6.6. I dont have much of a reason to haul heavy anymore, maybe 10k max to a horse trail, probably less than 10k. I am looking at the F-150 with the V8 Lariat. Do people that buy them like them, and would they have bought them again? I have looked at every full size and seems ford has the least issues and the best towing over all for what I want. So to summarize, 2026 F-150 a good buy and are people happy with them? Thank you for your time.
Right now Ford has Friends and Family pricing. If my dealer had a Lariat I would have bought new for the first time in 25 years. Alas I did find a Lariat with 30K miles so I didn't have tp break my own rule.
Just picked up a 5.0 Lariat and it’s exactly what I search for as it has the interior I want with the engine I want. 10k will be on the top end of towing but mine has the max tow and is like 12300 with payload of 1900. Love these trucks 👍
I guess I want a perfect truck, lol, one that will have zero issues. My F250 did not like starters, also did 1 alternator change in 220 miles, I wish I would have drove it till it died, good chance it would still be running. I just want a little more nice, I drive a 2006 jeep TJ as my daily, so something with power windows would be an upgrade, lol. Going to put my Chevy 3500 up for sale or put it in to farm use, do t pull anything heavy. The most I would pull with the 150 is a 2 horse with a small tack room maybe.
is there any glitches or issues with the 2026 F-150? I know all trucks are not perfect, but the price makes you think they should be! Just always had diesels, and the new diesels are problems. I really like the look and ride of the 150, guess I just need to wait for the best deal, maybe after the new mode hits, think the major changes wont happen till the 2028 year anyway.
I have the new diesel too and I love it, the deals are out there you just might have to drive for the right one. I drove 500 miles to get this one. I wanted to keep the truck I traded as well but I can’t have 4 trucks my girlfriend said.
I still have the 2011 chevy 6.6, if I keep it I will put in a CP3, but my plan is to sale, then buy a single axel dump truck to pull my 6ton excavator and do odd jobs, plus be useful on the farm, I hate loading brush by hand or with a machine just to get to the dump and unload by hand, rather dump, lol. The F-150
would be my daily plus the jeep, also the 150 might, maybe pull a two horse if we buy it, we have 4 horses but never leave the property. Just never owned a truck that could not pull anything I needed, but no more need to go more than 20 or 30 miles if I did pull the horse trailer, and a 2 horse behind a single axel dump might get me committed, lol. I just want a reliable truck. I am over board on maintenance, way over board, I change at 3000, longest was 3550 miles, I believe routine maintenance is the cheapest preventative maintenance you can do. I do not believe in 7 or 10 or 15k oils, because oil does not ware out as fast as it gets dirty and I have not seen a filter advertised for 15k miles. So I do the 3k oil and filter and fuel every second oil change, over board, but my trucks have always done me good, plus wash a truck, clean the inside, do an oil change, makes it feel so much better for some reason. I think the 150 will be the one, that and a single axel will serve my purpose. Worst case the wife gets some big horse rig and I have to buy a 250. Lol
