Fuel Tank Options for 1973 F250 4x4

Does anyone out there have advice on fuel tank options for the narrow frame 70's F250 4x4's? I am restoring a 1973 F250 "Highboy" and would like to get rid of the in-cab fuel tank and replace with either a side mount or aft axle tank. Everything I am seeing online on LMC and AMD mentions their tanks are not a direct fit. Any input would be appreciated.

I don't have the answer but I looked your truck up on rockauto.com. They have a list of tanks that include measurements. Might help you decide the best option.

I used a bronco 2 fuel tank in mine. I was even able to utilize the factory fuel filler location on the bedside

I had to move the rear crossmember back to make the bronco 2 tank fit but mine was rotten anyway. I made a bunch of changes since these pics. I did drill the tank and add a filler vent
