Trying a bunch of sites still can't find the correct master cylinder gasket. Asked the auto parts stores to look for the original Ford style or the Bendix style and no luck. 1969 F100 360 FE.
If your MC is leaking from the gasket, you should change the whole thing. Usually they are leaking because the MC is pressurizing the reservoir. Get someone to ease down on the pedal while you watch. I bet you will see fluid shoot up from one of the chambers.
If you hit the brakes on that type of master cylinder with the cap off
It will shoot brake fluid 1 foot in the air and all over the under hood area
Therefore, they need a working cap gasket
I think I would just hit the junkyard and get another master cylinder cap
Like davelj said above, you can't buy just the cap, and a new master cylinder comes with a new cap
