I usually hang out on the 48-56 group but have a 67 question. My Son In Law bought a 67 that came with a newer f150's set of axles, spindles, front disks and calipers in the bed. Is there a difference in sides on the axles and if so how do you tell them apart? Appreciate any help you can provide.
If the I-beams are forged, they are from a 73-79. If they are stamped and welded beams, they are 80-96 which will not work as a bolt in. What are the cast engineering ID numbers? The end numbers are the base part numbers. These show right and left sides. Should be the same as the 67, so compare those. Right now Fordification.com seems to be down now so no help that way.

There is a difference between the left and right axle just look at the casting numbers on the axles. When there is a left and right part the numbers will be different the left side will end in an even number and the right an odd number, example XXXX-3107-XX right, XXXX-3108-XX left. Also, if you are going to do a disc brake swap keep in mind there are differences in the "I" beam bushings, radius arm bushings and steering linkage depending on the year of the donor parts.
67-72 F-100's DID NOT have disc brakes. 68-72 F-250's did have disc brakes as an option. Disc brakes were standard across 2wd's in 73. The D2 I-beams were late 71 issues. Your D2 beams with disc brakes are from 73-74. The I-beams were changed in 75 with D5 castings, and yet again in 78 with D8 castings. https://www.fordification.com/tech/s...variations.htm
