My 26 F350, 7.3, 10r140, 4.30s, stock tires, stock everything. ~4800 miles on the clock.
Came home yesterday from the 3rd time towing. No issues on any of them. Average 200 miles each way, 65-68mph average speed up and down I-81 from WV to VA. Travel trailer is 8k loaded, so well within capacity. I was near the rear of the truck while unpacking and I smelled gear oil. Slid under the truck and did not see any leaks at the wheels or at the pinion. Is it just off-gassing through the vent? It was not even a very hot day. First time I've ever noticed it.
It may just be in my head but I feel like there is more/excessive driveline lash than when it was new.
I'm taking it in next week for an oil change and rotation under the service plan I bought with it, and will have them check it, but wanted to get ahead of anything if there are known issues I need to fight them on.
