I bought two more (more like one and a half) trucks the other day for $450. I’m planning on using them for parts for my 1965 F-350. As far as the parts I won’t use go, what’s worth selling and what’s just easier to scrap? I would hate to scrap a good or hard to find part that someone might need, but don’t have the space to sit on them for years. I’m planning on trying to sell what I can at local car shows and swap meets. The parts I’m planning on using are the cab, grille, and radiator support off the yellow F250, and the dash, fenders, and most likely doors off the F350. I may try to sell some of the smaller parts here on FTE or Eprey.
I see what looks like a genuine mirror bracket, carriage bolt, washer and clamp poking out of the driver's door on the yellow truck. Some of the best stock mirrors used that setup.
Just one example. The larger mirror heads work on these as well. Same door brackets as the telescoping mirrors, too.
I’m glad to hear that most of it is sellable. I understand I can’t save em all, but still hate to scrap old trucks like these. Maybe I can help someone that’s in the situation I’m in. It’s a shame that the F250 is so far gone, that would be a nice truck. How different are the frames from a 65 F250 to a 65 F350? I’m planning on keeping the front axle and transfer case for when I get that wild hair to do a 4wd conversion.
