i have a 2014 f150 xlt i ended up getting a deal on a complete fx4 interior including dash and ac box i also swapped the bcm i have a issue now where the lights on the radio bezel stay on all the time you also cannot select fuctions for the ac either and the radio come on and shuts off almost immediately saying saving battery power anyone done the swap and has a idea ? i was thinking the values in forescan are wrong
This kind of swap almost always comes down to module configuration rather than a bad part. When you changed the BCM and full dash setup, the truck likely still has mismatched As-Built data between the BCM, HVAC module, and APIM. That would explain the radio staying lit, HVAC controls not responding correctly, and the “saving battery power” shutdown — the system thinks there’s a communication or configuration conflict and is going into protection mode. I’d go into FORScan and make sure the BCM, HVAC, and radio are all coded for the same trim level and option set. If possible, compare your As-Built to a VIN from a factory FX4 with similar options. That usually clears up this exact behavior after interior swaps.
