I recall reading the GVWR's for SCS trucks however I cannot find where I read that. I seem to remember there being 3 different ways you could get them but I dont remember what they were.
Did the higher GVWR trucks get more splines on the D70s?
Don't know about spline count on the D70, but my 76 has a GCVW of 10,000lbs. Other years or configurations were slightly less due to reasons unknown to me.
Man your crazy I dont know how your able to find all these old pages of information. Thanks!

Ive only ever owned one which is my white truck in my profile which is a 73 Super camper with a 9500 gvwr and a 2 barrel 390 with a 4.10 rear gear and a 4 spd originally.
My 79 F350 has a Dana 70 with 35 spline axles. My truck is not a Camper Special. Spline count varied on the Dana 70. I think that most of the ones that came in Dodge trucks were 33 spline. The reason I know this is because I had to rebuild my rear axle and replace the differential after it spun a carrier bearing race.

No problem, I have been FTE'ing it for many years and when I come across a diagram (on FTE in some past post), I just save it. I know my info thread is not catagorized at all, but if you build your own tech library on a lap top or PC, that is the time to do it.

Spun races are no good thats for sure.
I wonder why my truck has such a low spline count on it in comparison to some of the other D70 axles.
Doesnt seem that anyone actually makes much parts for the 23 spline D70U axles.
Good thing ive never broke anything fingers crossed it stays that way.

Thats awesome, ive never thought about saving pages of the stuff.
I probably should start my own information catalog of some sort on this PC of mine.
