So the LED sealed beam units I have been rocking since 2019 have finally had one element fail. I figure technology has had to improve in the intervening years so now I’m looking to install this one: https://a.co/d/96BBPgc
What do you guys think? I will remember to document the modification of the aero housings this time.
Leonard,
I just put a set of those in my '90 4Runner. They are amazing for cutoff and the amount of light they put out down the road. Out here in the desert they are a life saver. I like them do much that I have been entertaining doing the retrofit into the aero housing like you did previously. My only concern is I switched to '05 style lights years ago which have no left/right adjustment. Those lights have a stepped cut off so the left/right adjustment will be critical for proper adjustment. I can get some pics of the pattern if you would like to see them. I will be watching for your documented update as you have been into the aeros before. Thanks in advance.
I put those HW Star 2022 models on my Vette back in late 2021. Amazing light output and cutoff. I can't comment on the 2025 model, it looks like they changed the design quite a bit. Even on the CorvetteForum people have loved the 22s I recommended. I haven't heard too much about anyone's experience with the 25s yet. But for $79 back then it was definitely worth it
