7.3L Godzilla Badges

The 7.3L definitely deserves to have a badge /emblem.
Since Ford doesn't provide one from the factory, I found these from 'Main Event' that I liked.
What do you all think?

That's the best looking emblems I've seen, however I've yet to see a 7.3 emblem I'd put on my truck. Looks a lot better clean and without them IMO. Previously people wanted to remove their emblems.... now that Ford doesn't put them on their SD trucks people want to add it back. Funny how times change.

Here is what I put on mine from billet badges. They can do custom designs, colors, or whatever you would like.

Why are American engines measured in liters?
Because in the 1980s the US auto industry metrifed itself and converted all manufacturing documentation, fastener sizes and engine specifications to full metric.

Its only been ~40 years since we've seen standard displacement badges industry wide. Seems like typical "Dodge" behavior my opinion (392) 😄

Was soooo much fun walking away from 392 badged Challengers in my 5.0L (302) Coyote.

Ford marketing is a mystery to me. They were so damn proud of the 7.3 in the introductory pressers etc. It's an upcharge engine option, but no exterior badge.

Why do some engines get badged and others dont? Maybe the upcharge needs to cross the 10k$ threshold (like the 6.7) to merit a badge.

A 445ci gasoline powered engine doesn’t fit their corporate eco friendly narrative?

The world is already full of people who assume all SDs are diesels, adding a similar badge to a PSD in a similar location with similar color scheme and font is dangerous. I bet the only way a lot of people who think they know trucks only know if a SD is gas or diesel is by looking at the front doors. The tailpipe and fuel cap are too obscure for them.

When I picked up my truck new, I had to remind the dealership person 4 times it is a gas truck because he kept saying he was going to give me a full tank of diesel.

I prefer they didn’t add a badge. Makes it easier to weed out all the diesels in online listings.

as long as there is a shot with the tailpipe that’s more reliable than door badges. Some diesel owners remove their PSD insignia, in fact.
