If a 2019 F250 XLT doesn't have a rear defroster, are the wiring and connectors still there hidden somewhere? Just wondering how hard it would be to do a rear glass swap to a defrost model. Not even sure if it's worth the effort. Thanks!
Any luck? Thats the one option I care about that my truck is missing! There is an aftermarket kit but its not very pretty, 1/2 bus connectors running down both ends of the window.
Dealer said wiring would have to be done and run to an upfitter switch. I rarely if ever use a rear defroster so it's not worth the trouble and expense in my case.
So the wiring is there and so is the switch. As long as you have heated mirrors it's a simple swap. Check the SJB for the rear defrost fuse it should be there. The harness is unused behind the passenger seat between the cab padding and the cab.

I wonder why the dealer said the wiring isn't there? What is a SJB?
SJB is smart junction box. It's in the passenger footwell. The dealer has no clue what is and isn't there. There job is to repair vehicles to factory. Once you ask a dealer to start adding or modifying they have no clue and there isn't a service procedure in the book for it. Look how many years it's taken for dealers to understand how to enable TBC modules and some still struggle.

If I ever decide to do this I guess it would only require a change to a rear glass with the heating elements so it shouldn't be too hard to do. Thanks for the info.
