2019 FX4 shocks

Picked up a 2019 F250 today with the FX4 package and I noticed it doesn't have the Rancho shocks. Maybe they finally figured out those shocks suck ***.

The shocks they replaced the Ranchos with aren’t any better.

Same shocks, just no longer painted white. Still the same cheap shocks with tiny pistons.

Maybe the rust won't stand out as bad with them then black.

In an earlier post someone checked and the part number for the fx4 shocks matched the same stamped into the 4x4 shocks on 2 trucks on the lot.

They have always been the same, the off road tuned shocks are just white and stamped with a different number. For 2019 they finally got rid of them.

I noticed that also on my 2019 F-350 FX4, so I assume the 2017/2018 come with white rancho shocks? Glad they did away with those clown colors.

What year did they stop the white ranches? I have a buddy who says his is an 18, but he’s lying about his age I think. Bought December 17, but has the white ranchos.

I can without a doubt say upgrading the shocks to fox 2.0 proved to be a massive improvement. 30 days in, in the south with no salt or hwavy highway and mine were rusting at the welds.

White Ranchos were only on 2017. I asked this a while back and got pretty much the same answers, Ranco/ford fx4 shocks aren't an upgrade to begin with. My 18 KR w/fx4 doesn't have them.

Sounds like most folks aren’t happy with the FX4 package. Do you still think it’s worth it, or if you all had to do it over again would you buy without and add in aftermarket options?

I love the way my non fx4 truck rides. I ordered the skids for 100 and bought the downhill assist button for 15 bucks and enabled it on forscan. No regrets. Use the extra 300 on like liners or splashguards which would actually do something !

I have heavy service front springs in addition to the FX4 package, as mentioned there is no difference between the white/red or regular black shocks, just the color. The only thing you will really notice is the cool FX4 sticker.

My last truck was just a ,12 F250 XLT 4X4 so having the FX4 as part of my 2019 F-350 DRW purchase was fitting as part of my upgrade, money was no object as I left out all the cameras and stuff I'm happy with my cool looking sticker, I would have gotten the LED lighting if I could but not an option for supercabs.
I'm definitely happy with it but understand you can have the pieces for cheaper installed yourself.
