Aftermarket double din install

I need to know if install kits are specific. Or universal. And which is the best one under 30

Go to Walmart and get one. $12 I think. That's where I got mine.

Metra double din adapter. Top and bottom is perfect. Small gaps on the sides with Pioneer AVH-X2800BS. I believe the kit I used was Metra 95-5818 — Kit. The trim plate needed some modification. Had to remove a bunch of plastic material from the dash.

Wal-Mart best everything...

Found a double din kit at Wal-Mart. Not bad! Going to install soon.

quick question: if the previous owner put in a aftermarket radio are the connections there for the one I got at O'Reillys?

FYI, I just bought a JVC double din unit, wiring harness adapter, and the Metra kit mentioned above. The factory double din unit is about an inch shorter than the aftermarket units. I'm gonna have to cut into the plastic above the radio to get the new one to slide in place. Not a big deal, but its more work.
