Cluster Bulbs

I have almost swapped every light on my 1996 F-250 to led. Only ones left are in the cluster and the lights behind the panel for the a/c and heat control. How hard is it to swap out the bulbs in the cluster and how do you change the temp control panel from green. I am wanting to make it all blue.

The cluster bulbs are simple. Twist the black **** on the back of the cluster, pull out the bulb socket, then pull the bulb from the socket.

Use blue LED's to change the color.

There is a green screening or tinting that has to be scraped off the back of the gauge faces. He very careful or you may end up scratching the black off too. I'd just put LED bulbs in and leave it. I was discussing this in another thread and it seems there may be issues with switching the battery, check engine, and seat belt bulbs. I'm not sure. Post back of you run into this. Did you have issues with the trans or cruise with brake lights being switched?

Actually I did have some trouble. When I put led bulbs in the brake lights, it made my turn signals stop working, so I had to put normal bulbs back in. But I didn't notice any changes with transmission and never used the cruise, I only had them in for like one day,.

That looks awesome. And how did you get your odometer to be blue, is that just another bulb?

I just installed blue LEDs, no mods to gauges. I have since changed the Autometers to blue also.
Looks good. Are the LEDs dimmable, like the factory bulbs?

No mods to the gauges, just installed the bulbs. Yes dimmer still works.

Here are the ones I used: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...t-car/206/920/

These old trucks don't like having the braking lights replaced by leds, as you already found out.

Yah, it had me totally confused until I asked my dad about it. He said is because the led bulb don’t pull enough power to make the turn signal click.

You can replace the blinker with one that'll work with LEDs

Ok, so last night I switched my dash lights to blue led bulbs, but there is still a good amount of green showing up. How did you get all your cluster to go blue, I thought it might be my bulbs but they are very bright and blue. Also, the led seems to barely dim even when turning the **** all the way down, do yours do this?
