Cracked Windshield

Rock got my windshield today and she's a runner. What seems to be the going rate for an OEM one. I was quoted $335 installed with rain sensor
Seem right?
I figured higher

That price sounds like it is for a non original windshield. In Canada mine cost almost $900. In the US it will be quite a bit cheaper but I would be surprised if it is that much.

In Texas windshield insurance coverage is optional.

$335 sounds cheap, but I haven't bought a windshield in ages.

USA? Look for the "Sound Screen" label low on the driver's side of the windshield. If there, insist on an OEM replacement. Ford OEM is really a quiet windshield. Insurance should cover all but $100.

If your truck has lane departure warning make sure the shop you pick has the equipment to calibrate the aim of the sensors. As already stated don't accept anything other than OEM replacement.

I had to replace my windshield last Saturday. I paid the same price as you were quoted for a Ford OEM windshield WITH “Soundscreen”

As long as you are getting a Ford OEM, you should be good to go!!

Side note:
Anyone know where I can get a “Kentucky plant sticker” for my windshield??

Thanks in advance.

You can have mine once I peel it off.
Hate manufacturer stickers on trucks.

Lol, thanks! The one they scraped of my windshield doesn’t seem to stick very well.

yup, no way that is an OEM one. The super duties have a sound shield in the glass that aftermarkets don't. Always get OEM..

I had one replaced in my Explorer and it was about $800 for OEM because of it.

I just had my truck windshield replaced with a Ford OEM WITH SoundScreen for $333.xx installed

For $335, get it done. Just make sure it is Ford OEM.
