66 f250 fenders

My 66 f250 flatbed 2WD has two different fenders on it. That way when I purchased it. I'm wondering which style fender is supposed to be on it so I can get a matching one? Posted a couple pics to help. Any help is appreciated!

I think the larger fenders were optional with larger wheels. Do you know if it was a factory flatbed? You say it's a 66 but it's got a 65 grill. Post the vin tag info and I'm sure someone can help you out. I'd guess it had the large openings factory and someone replaced one with the easier to find smaller one.

From my understanding the truck was manufactured in Dec of 65 so I was thinking that's why it possibly had a 65 grill, or obviously somebody could have changed it. It does have the factory FORD bed on it. I was aware of the different sizes in the fenders for wheel size but was curious if the body line on the passenger side fender was specific to year model etc. Here's a pic of the I.D tag if anybody can decode it just so I'll know a little more about the truck that would be great.

December of 1965 was well into the 1966 model year. They started making the 1966 models in August of 1965. Your grill has been replaced.

And you already noticed the mismatched fenders.

The hood should have the V8 emblem on it, too. Having the gear and lightning bolt emblem is an indication that the hood has been swapped out, too. Not totally uncommon for 50 year old vehicles to have had an accident or two.
