BDS 2.0 or Ready Lift 2.5 leveling kit?

Trying to decide which leveling kit I want to go with. Narrowed it down to these two. The Ready Lift is a 2.5 in level but does not include Fox Shocks. Can these be added separately after you think? Would they improve the ride of the truck over the Ranchero shocks to justify the extra money?

The other option is the BDS 2 inch leveling kit but it includes 4 Fox 2.0 shocks. It's a .5 in less in lift but you get the 4 Fox shocks.

Difference in price is roughly $450 more for the BDS with the Fox shocks, but .5 less lift.

Anybody have experience with either leveling kit? Ride quality compromised? Steering stabilizer or dual one recommended? First time I level or lift a truck so just want to do it right the first time and not regret it

Here are the links for each kit:

me personally......would go with a cheap 2.5 spacer kit like this one. I like the spacer on the bottom as opposed to the top. It stays out of sight. I also want to keep the factory springs to keep the most "stock" like ride.
2011-2017 F250 & F350 Rugged Off-Road 2.5" Leveling Kit RO-5-107

add a BDS track bar relocation bracket to maintain factory alignment, steering, and ride.
2017 F250 & F350 BDS 1-3" Track Bar Bracket Kit BDS-123301

and if you want shocks, get the carli tuned fox shocks.

I called Stage 3 Motorsports and ended up going with the ReadyLift 2.5 in Leveling kit along with 4 BDS Fox 2.0 Shocks. Total was $700.

I"ll let you guys know how it turns out. Holding off on steering stabilizer/s until I see how it rides with this set up.

You'd be better off with either Carli or Icon 2.5 by the time you added all this together.. I myself plan on going with Icon 2.5 with 4 shocks plus track bars/bushings for under $1300.00

I don't want to change out the springs. Otherwise yes, I agree with icon and carli systems.

I'd go with the BDS 4" Radius Arm suspension. And it's guaranteed for life no questions asked.

I look forward to seeing your SD!

Icon is a waste of money...over hyped mediocre.

You had it right the first time, Carli tuned Fox shocks are the best tuned Fox's. Better then that, a set of Kings. That's what I'm running. I'd post a pic, but I have wheel well liners so there's no much to show. Upgrading to King 2.5's was a HUGE difference in ride quality on and off road.

Very subjective in nature.. It's the difference between who likes Nike vs Rebooks... Both companies put out quality products..

I get what your saying when it comes to King shocks.. They are one of the best, but come with a very heavy price tag.. I myself have no need for $3000.00 to $4500.00 worth the shocks..

How about an update? I'm about to pull the trigger and just not 100% yet which way to go

BDS offers superior engineering almost every time. I've looked through Ready-Lift's products. Not impressed. If you read their warranty fine print, it says their products are not to be used off road.

I was looking at the BDS Fox 2.0's...both the front and rears say they can handle 0-2" of additional lift (which makes sense for the BDS 2" kit). But if you're getting the ReadyLift 2.5" level...won't you be exceeding the spec for the front...or am I missing something?

I'm ordering this today, along with the Fox shocks and steering stabilizer. Can't wait to throw it on!

Yikes, that's not good...especially considering this is a truck, hello!

so i wrestled with this decision for quite some time. I have a 2017 King Ranch and ended up going with the readylift. The truck sits dead level measurement wise but looks to be slightly lower in the rear. I wish I had gone with the bds. As of this email, readylift does not offer a 4in block for the rear. If i can find a 4in block in the very near future, I'll go that route. Otherwise, I'm selling the readylift kit and buying the bds.
