I park outside. My fiancee parks her car in the garage. If you park it in the garage, start calling it a car

i was thinking if there's a way to make a cut out on the wall end of the garage just for the front bumper to go in about 2-3". Even if I have to remove a 2x4? But I don't know about these kind of things.

Do you live in a rough neighborhood or what? What's wrong with leaving the old girl out in the yard?

been here 25 years. First time it happens. Like I said, times are changing. Don't feel like risking tires slashed and breaking into. Maybe isolated thing, but sure would like it inside. Protected.

Plus it's better to keep her out of the sun. Let the paint and interior like new......

That is one thing I made sure when I bought my house to make sure it fit my truck.

Thats a CCLB f450 in my garage tight fit but it fits.

my ccsb truck has room in front and back to walk around.

I was lucky…mine fit both height and length. I have a few inches to spare length wise.

You can do it and gain about 4" by removing a section of drywall and the studs. Just make sure to install a header where you remove the studs. It is not a technical job so don't be afraid to tackle it yourself if you have some basic tools. Here's a simple drawing to explain where you would place the header to replace the studs you would be removing.

For clarity, you need only concern yourself with the Jack Studs and the Double Header.

I put in a new garage door opener that hugged the ceiling and opened the door a bit higher. This added 2 inches of extra clearance on top giving me 1 inch of clearance to truck roof. I hung a tennis ball to exactly position truck with a couple of inches clearance front and back. Unfortunately no level kit till I'm ready to let my $70K pride and joy bake in the Arizona sun.
