Landed at home about 3:00 today. Emptied the fridge and promptly came down with a food coma.

We made it home at 1:34pm today. Not a single issue the whole trip, just the way I like them!

We would like to thank everyone for their hospitality and company! Especially Roy and Lynn for hosting lobster night and going threw all the trouble getting and cooking up the giant crabs! That was an amazing meal/evening!

We all had a great time and are grateful to be included with such great group of people! The kids all got along great and had a wonderful time as well.

We sure missed Monty, Doug, Gerry, and others. Wish you guys could have been there but we know not everything works out for everyone always. Hope to see you guys at one of the next GTG's! We are still talking about Mammoth caves, not sure yet if we can make that one or not.

Sorry for giving you guys a scare when we didn't show up on time. I hate my phone and when I leave the house for a vacation it gets turned off unless I need it for an emergency. It also reminds me that I should check the dates myself before leaving.

I don't have any photos to share that haven't been shown already besides a few of our journey to Maine.

Mackinac bridge:

We hit the bridge right at sunset which was perfect!

Then onto Niagara Falls, Canadian edition.

You can get within 1' of the rushing water and falls!

From there it was just some other smaller water falls, neat bridges, small towns, and whatnot along the way. Northern NY, Vermont, and NH were quite neat to see! It was good times!

Yep, and most places outside of the major towns that had sidewalks, had asphalt sidewalks, not concrete. But even in town the curbs were still cut stone. Never seen that before either. Not sure on the reasoning?

Thanks for all the pictures guys. Never been to this part of the world and I need to plan a trip.

Food, weather, and scenery looks much better at G2G#2. Looked like great fun for everyone.

Jodi and I wish we could have made it. From the pics, (and knowing many of you personally) I'm sure we missed a great time, and beautiful scenery. I still need to show Jodi the thread for the pics, but the last several days have been very hectic here - for the reasons we couldn't make the trip. That is all past us now, and we are already looking forward to Mammoth.

We went ahead and took our annual shower a few days ago and put on our fancy duds. The wedding was beautiful, and my son and his new bride are in Belize on their honeymoon. My daughter is currently en route to Sydney, Australia for her semester abroad. The visit with my parents and both sets of younger brothers was nice, but we are glad things are back to being calm now.
