As long as spades have been broken (thanks Tyler)....
Here's 'nother one...

Yep he's a wide one. 6" wider body than the standard F150 as I understand it. Even though he's much more narrow than driving my dually - it still feels W-I-D-E.....

Love the Raptors! If I had the cash, I'd have one for a DD and my F350 would be relegated to tower-only status.

I love the way that they look too and hate the F150 current style and I am not too crazy yet on the new SD style either. They seem so average in styling. Kind of think some Ram and a few GMs are looking better, to my eye these days. Good looking trucks are in the eyes of the beholder though. What looks great to someone might look average to another.

The washing of the truck though is a deal breaker for me. Love a clean truck and I am not going to do it. Have not washed a truck or any vehicle in 25+ years and I don't want to start. I am not in the minority in my area either. Can't remember the last time I saw a neighbor outside with bucket and hose. If I did, I would offer them the $5.00 to get it sprayed off at the station.

This is why a dually is currently out of the question for me. Can't take it through the automatic car wash. Maybe when I'm retired like Rodney, I'll have time to do it by hand all the time...

Thanks guys...
One really cool thing about these Raptors is that they ride smooth as silk on most roads...
Must have something to do with the shocks!

Randy, are you still small(ish) trailer shopping to be able to travel more or is that idea done?

I cannot wait to be retired and have my largest project of the day, putting the bucket and hose away from my task of washing the car. In my retirement dream, my wife calls me from work telling me that she will pick up dinner on her way home because I was working so hard today.

I usually wash my vehicles after work when I already have work clothes on and don't mind getting a bit more dirty. But heck, I love clean vehicles. I even wash my RV while on trips if it get's dirty en route...

Are you calling your apron and bedroom slippers "work clothes" now? LOL

Yes we are still looking, but ObamaCare reached into my pocket for almost 11G for 2016 (we just got our taxes done due to being pretty busy this spring with our son)... Its a long story that I'd rather not get too deep into. Suffice to say it was an accounting error and it cost a lot....
So we're getting ready to head south where I will try to get the Fortress Toy Hauler sold and move into the Cottage. The money from the TH will go towards a TT in the 16-20' range..

Howdy gang. Pretty trucks! Only within the last month was there finally a wash close enough to me that I could stop hand washing my truck. Prior to that, it was using well water on a dirt driveway and hoping to make it clean.

Joke time (in Rodney's honor):
Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (MTA) found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from avian flu.

A bird pathologist examined the remains of all the crows and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT avian flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.

However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.

MTA then hired an ornithological behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.

The ornithological behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger. They discovered that while all the lookout crows could shout “Cah,” not a single one could shout “Truck.”

Isn’t the animal world amazing!
