Found a set of Factory aluminum rims at a swap meet today
I went to the Broncorama show and swap meet at Jeffs Bronco Graveyard today and someone was selling these rims with the push in center caps. I have been looking for a set for a while now, and these are the only set Ive seen in person. Going off of the brochures I have, they were optional on '82-'84 F150s in two and four wheel drives. Got em for $100. I also got a locking hood release handle with key for $5.
With a little clean up they will look great on my '83 long box with a 4x4 conversion, bed rails, locking hood release, under hood light, tach guage cluster and sport steering wheel.
Pics from my '82 brochures
From my '84 brochure. Don't have any '83 brochures yet.
Nice score,
Got a pic of that locking bonnet release?
Can I ask a favour, in those brochures I've got the 4x2 with the "K" & "I" wheels. Do they list the standard tyre size and spec in there? My ute doesn't have a tyre placard at all and I'm not sure on the actual size/spec it needs as a minimum.

Cast Aluminum Wheel: TYPE 12 / TYPE 5 is Type I in sales brochure / TYPE 1 is Type K in sales brochure. This is a painted steel wheel, brochure shows it w/a wheel cover.
Not shown in brochure: TYPE 9 .. Styled Aluminum Wheel.
There are TWO of TYPE 5 .. One is painted white, t'other is painted yellow.
TYPES 5 & 9 were introduced in 1977 F100/150 & E150, Bronco's got 'em in 1978. All have a 5.50" bolt circle pattern.
Thanks Bill,
I wasn't clear, I meant type K in the first brochure and type I in the second, so by your expertise that makes it a type 5.
Does the IPC show the tyre size and spec?
Cheers Brad (proud Aussie component of ANZAC )
TYPES 5 - 9 - 12: 15" x 6" - 5 lug wheels on a 5.50" bolt circle. "Tyre" sizes varied because bias ply tires were standard equipment, radials were optional.
Ford measures wheels across from the inside flanges, not across from the outer lips.
E0TZ-16700-C = Here's the locking "Bonnet" dealer installed kit, also lists the individual parts. All are obsolete, I haven't looked to see if any of these parts can be found NOS
Thanks. These should make the truck stand out a little more.

Thanks Brad.

Thanks for the information on both the wheels and hood release Bill. I appreciate it.

These are the only set Ive seen in person. Ive seen a couple pics on here that members took of trucks they've seen around with these wheels and very few else where on the internet but that's it.
It's been quite a while since I've been on the board. I started to clean up and go through some parts and forgot I had these.I They are a set of caps for what I'm pretty sure came from these wheels as I did pull a set a few years back. The problem is the ones I thought were matching France are not the present type caps and use the five bolts from the back. The fronts are much deeper. I was wondering if they could have been designed for trucks with auto locking hubs? Once I get a chance to clean up the backs I will look for part numbers but I figured I would post here. So what I really need to know is did these Wheels ever have deeper front caps? I appreciate any positive input
I can do that. I just figured this was a good place as there are already people talking about these very same Wheels so I figured it was a good place for combined knowledge
