Did the 2.5 Nissan blow the head gasket? I just replaced the head gasket in my youngest sons 2005 Altima a couple weeks ago.. A total pain in the butt!!!!!

 

I believe it over heated, then some shop did a crappy headgasket job (and cleaned or had a reman head) then the timing chain skipped some teeth or something. The motor always burned oil and ran like crap I am told.

We will find out as the owner would like to open the motor up and see what happened exactly. They just bought this car last year from a shady place.

 

I installed a new timing chain set, oil pump, and gears before installing the "new" engine.
