Short bed dually years?

I'm having a hellova time putting the right words together in "SEARCH" mode to find what years ford produced the dually in short bed form.

I'd really like to look for a 4x4 crew cab dually SHORT BED....but I need to know what years for produced them.

I think it was limited....like 2002-2004. Can anyone verify that?

Did ford produce shortbed dually's AFTER 2005?

Just curious what are your plans for one? Unless you are carrying led bricks bed is to small to use extra capacity and sb can be an issue with some 5th wheel applications

Won't be using a gooseneck or 5th wheel application. "bumper" tow trailers are all I have. I simply prefer a shorter overall truck, but I DO want 4 full doors.

I've seen several of them around for sale...but now that I'm in the position to BUY one....can't seem to find one

I know what you mean. I was dissappointed Ford's lack of shortbed dually. We went to a Dodge dealer and looked at their shortbed dually. However, Dodge does not make that truck in a supercab. My reasons for wanting shortbed dually was simply to lessen overall length. I only wanted weight carrying capacity for 5th wheel pin weight. I had a Pullrite SuperGlide. So, didn't have to worry about hitting cab. Anyhow, with all that said after 7 happy years with last truck (04 F250 SB,SRW,4x4). I ordered F350 Lariat Chassis cab 2WD and gave up wishing for Ford SB. You could always go shortbed F350 SRW, sell bed and do flatbed. But if you do F350 dually and sell bed it will still be longbed frame. I wrestled with all that for over two years. I have 275 miles on new truck, just getting some breakin miles on engine while waiting for aluminum bed to be made. Hope you find a solution to your needs.

Ford did produce short bed duallys after 2005, here is some proof...

Most definitely, I have seen them on the web and one in person on a dealer lot.
Try searching with f350 156 drw, where 156 is the wheelbase of a crew cab short box.

Seems to me there was alot of '99-'04, only seen a couple '05-'07. I'm sure the truck you want exists, you just have to find it.

They produced them through the 2008 model year. They were discontinued sometime in late '08 - early '09. I know there were 2008 models but I think that was the last year......no 2009s.

They got discontinued either at the end of the '08 model year or early in the '09 model year. The 2010 order guide doesn't show them as available.
