Oil flow rate
Just curious. What would be the tipical oil flow rate, like gallons per minute or something. I realize it would vary with the vehicle and the engine speed, but am just looking for a ball park figure, particularly at idle for my 300 I6. Just wondering how much the engine flush cycled through my engine in the prescribed 5 minutes of idling.

Hey great idea! This is a tough one to search the net since it is hard to phrase it just right, but I found the following discussion where a guy has a 0.72 gal/min oil flow rate at idle. Using that as a tough and dirty guesstimate, I get about 7 gallons pumped through my engine during the 5 minute flush.
