Brought her home yesterday! I'll get some pics up later. Its raining right now.
Doing 70-75 on xway i was averaging 19.4mpg
VERY quiet! I like that a lot. A 5.9 dodge pulled next too me, Holy freaking crap. I told my wife, i don't think i would like the constant noise! lol
It so queit in the cab,you could hear a SBD fart! lol
Then a 6.4 pulled next to me,oh yeah...he was drowning me out. lol
Yes, you can still tell its a diesel once you get used to it, but first time hearing it run...you really can't, unless you listen closely.
Yes, it does have some nuts! I was getting on on ramp doing about 40mph gave a little pedal, dropped two gears and i about crapped my pants! thing took off like a raped ape! I told my wife, i can't wait to get a few more miles to really push the pedal. lol She likes, holy sheet!
Now, i never own anything this big. Is this normal on steering (wrote below). My f150 wasn't.
The ONLY thing i don't like is the steering! Good goly i have to do something about that. A little stiff and seems to much wandering on the road. i like it when you hold the wheel, the truck holds the line.
I'm thinking some stabilizers on front later and hopefully that will help, unless there is some adjustments.
And i don't like how it takes So many turns on the steering wheel to full turn, holy crap..i think its like 3 full turns! Is that normal on a f350??
thats that for now and before pics i'm going to install the retrax bed cover
I had the exact same experience with the steering when I picked up my 2005 SD from the dealer. I was driving on a road that had just been resurfaced and still had to zig-zag all the way home. After about 2 weeks the steering was excellent and the ride gets much better. Your not just breaking in the engine, every other moving part that just got slapped together takes a little time to loosen up. That's why they drive like new after 100,000 miles.
I just figured out my truck wasn't on the train... it's still in bfe. PowerstrokeHD told me that but for some reason I held out hope. I feel like i'm going to throw up.
There was a black one down at Roper..... Mine is DK Blue with Lariat black interior. That sucks it didnt make the train... Are you going to wait it out or pull a Rutcutter??
ALSO Call Ford...have them expedite it... it may be worth it in the long run. Build your case..
Yea pull a Rutcutter and go and buy you a truck and dont worry with it anymore...LOL I got tired of the battle and all the bad updates as my truck sat for a month after it was built too.
Yes I would pull a rutcutter. I probably will wait for mine though. The dumba** rep is suppose to call tommorrow so we'll see what he has to say. Nick, let me when you get yours picked up.
i just got the retrax in and now i'm putting together the 24k 5ht wheel hitch. I'm almost there with that, have to put bottom feet on is all. Then i'll take some pictures

I really do think I have had it with Ford and my ordered truck at this point. Ford just called me and said “We have great news for you, your truck will be at the dealership on Friday May 7th”. I asked them if they could guarantee it would be there by that day and she said no. I asked her why it is taking over a week to get it from the roper to the dealer and she had no idea, its only an hour away from my dealer, it shouldn’t take 9 days to get it to the dealer. I leave for a business trip on Saturday for a week, then back for a day and gone again. At this point I won’t see this truck for another 2 -3 weeks due to Ford shipping out the dealer stock before ordered trucks. This really sucks, if I could have found another truck like I ordered I would have been gone and pulled another Rutcutter.
