I am working on my 1999 F-350 Super Duty diseal and the 4x4 light isn't coming on. I've tried the A/C test too see if it was the hoses coming from it but everything passed with flying colors. The two hubs in the front aren't engaging either in on the fly or while siting still. What could this be? I'm ready to ram my head through a wall here . Is it the resistors? how do I test them? fuses maybe? Any help would be greatly appriceated!

having the same problem with my 1999 superduty v10,sounds like the IWE solenoid on the fire wall near the battery on mine,,,they get wet they short out,,many recalls ,,,,,I am getting one tomorrow too!except mine goes in and out when it wants too. This unit controls vacuum feed to and from your hubs,,,,they cost around $80.00 from dealer also,,,don,t do what i did and spend almost $1500.00 replacing stuff when i should have had it tested first AT A DEALERSHIP!!!!Very hard to detect!!!!sabby
If the light is not coming on in the dash, that means the transfer case is not shifting into 4x4. It has NOTHING to do with the hubs.
Check out the Superduty forum here, there are many threads on this subject. Feel free to start a new one, asking the same question over and over is NOT frowned upon and it gives us all a chance to revisit the subject
sorry, must have looked at question wrong, all i know is when i replaced my iwe module my problems went away with my hub issue's.switch is a whole different ball of wax,as far as your responce your thinking issues are your own bro, people do make mistakes!this 4x4 truck issues are all new to me ,learning as i go!Have a nice day!!!
