400m v4 intake

ok now i heard all you say that ford didnt make this(400m 4v intake) but i have a 77 hot rodder mag that says, in 1977 on the ford LTDs and Thunderbirds with the 400m as an Option you could get a 4 barrell intake. any one ever heard of this??????? (i can get the mag scaned latter in the week if any one wants to see it) i was just woundering because all ive heard is no ford did not make this

400m v4 intake

I have heard in magazines that some people will pay $100 just to see and touch an actual factory 4V intake for the 400. I haven't heard that anyone had to pay the $100, or collected yet.

400m v4 intake

i have a 72 merc 400 (not 351m) hevy service/police motor that i am putting in my 92 f-150 it has a 4v intake . the car was a iowa state tropper car untill 1978 then it was bout by shawenn co. shirffs dept then in 1986 it was sold on bid to the chiff of police in winterset iowa he used the car as a police unit un till 1991 then it sat untill i bout it out of his back yard in 2002 . i primed it about 20 times before it started but when it did start it ran ruff for 5min then it purred nicely. it has a motorcraft/holly 750cfm 4br carb on it . when i got it the chiff said it was 100% true factry car. i would like to rebilted it but i think i,ll put it in the way it is.

Hey avaromshane,

Read the casting numbers on the manifold, or take a couple pictures of it, and post them here. Casting numbers on 335-series intake manifolds are located on the top of the manifold, behind the carb flange.
