Got off work a little early this afternoon.
I came home and blasted my inner fenders, my hood hinges and the battery tray.
hoping to be done sand blasting. Not my favorite part of this project but the outcome sure is nice for paint prep.
the U-joints and parts should be here this week.
hoping to have the wiring, carb water pump and everything up top this weekend and possibly the inner fenders. Been nice to make some progress lately.

Had a pretty good weekend. Got quite a bit done. I think I have the wiring sorted out.
waiting on a different alternator bracket. Have everything else buttoned up in the engine bay.
I’ll tape and get wire loom once it’s running and I see everything work.
mounted the front clip this afternoon. Took quite a while. I had to adjust the core support mounts that I built. Everything seems solid and sitting how it should now.
waiting on a couple parts and she should fire.

It’s alive.
I think I have all my wiring figured out.
next step is the brakes.
I changes the front brake lines already while the front clip was off and it was easy to get to.
next I’ll change the back rubber lines already while and go through the rear brakes.

First drive today. Got to drive it around the yard a little.
the Edelbrock is already acting up.
I cleaned the shop out and backed it back in. Rides like a tank without a bed on it.

I feel like the idle circuit is plugged on one side. It idles but sounds starved. Give it some throttle and it clears right up.
a small shot of carb cleaner in the primaries while it’s idling also clears it right up.

I went through the Edelbrock and it’s running well.
took for its first drive Friday after work.
this morning I drug out my old grill shell and started grinding and notching it to fit the wider frame. Got it all fitted up so I’ll copy off of it when I get a good one.
started a material list and drawings for the bed.
still waiting on a reply back from the windshield guy.
hoping to get started prepping the interior for paint soon.

Friday I drove the truck to the glass shop. They installed the new windshield and gasket and a new gasket for the rear window. Fortunately we have a glass shop way out here in rural Arkansas. I did sneak in a very short drive down the hiway.
yesterday I picked out my best window regulators and wing windows. I cleaned and lubed the regulators and the roller groove in the bottom of the windows. For all the door glass installed but with used glass run and no anti rattle strips.
I sandblasted the headlight bucket assemblies and got them painted and installed last night. Tonight I started on front bumper brackets.

Bumper brackets installed. They’ll have to be cut down to fit when I build the bumper. Got the old grill shell on to see how things will work out when I build the bumper.
got started on my flatbed yesterday as well.

Had a good day on the ole white Ford yesterday.
a good friend came over to help. He was laying down beads while I cut and notched.
got the bed frame finished and headed out this morning for front bumper and headache rack material.

Don’t have any fresh pics this week. During the week I finished my front bumper brackets and got the non79 bumper stripped and in primer. Got the headache rack installed and the bed frame painted. Worked on the interior some. Should have the deck plate for the floor some time this week and parts for my gas filler hose setup.
wish it was done because my Cheby blew out the transmission.
