So it is supposed to warm up a bit this weekend hopefully. I want to get out to the garage and work on the Gauge Cluster and Truck Wiring. I have limited time since the wife is currently replacing the floors in the Kitchen, Dining and Living Rooms. So once I am home from work I help with anything she needs. She is a trooper er sure and has about 50% for the job done already.
Flooring is down and now it's trim and railings to do. With that I also got out to the garage as it's warm now. I figured out how to get my gauges installed into the F600 cluster and use the Gauge wiring minus the regulator as all the gauges are new. I also got the front of the truck cleaned off. I am going to start running the engine bay wiring. Once I finish the cluster mods I will post some pics.
I think so. I am working on installing a 1979 delay wiper switch assembly. I am just going to plug it in and run power to it and verify it works. I have figured out most everything else with putting in the painless wiring harness.
I definitely want to do that as well. I was thinking about that the other day when it was raining and I had two speeds that did not correlate well with my current state of precipitation.
So I plugged in the Delay Wiper Switch and Module with the existing connector and applied 12V to Power lead (orange w/white stripe) and it works! So I only have two connections to make once the wiring is installed.
(One thing I did when i pulled the delay wiper Switch and Module was to pull the harness connector. I just re-pinned that one to my original wiring pin for pin as the delay unit has one connector unlike our truck that have two connectors.)
1) Keyed power to the Orange w/White Stripe.
2) Wire out to the Washer Pump.
I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out the switch, this worked so much better. I was also able to find the wiring Diagram for the SunPro Super Tach ll wiring!
Spent some time pulling the old harness and cutting out any connectors that I may be able to reuse to make this install easier.
