Vabow,
Good thread! That reconditioned 292 should run like a new one. Be careful the Y blocks are addictive. I only had one and it has a new life in a 55 Crown Vic. I kind of like your big blue flatbed for some reason? Picture it new and shiny doing Farm chores! Awesome trucks you have. I will try to check in to see how you are doing on the big boys. I was at one time considering a 56 F800 ex fire truck. It still sets in a garage about 30 miles from me. Could be brought back. Naaa getting to old for that stuff! Have a great day!
I will try to get the old v8 running again and see how it sounds. It looks a lot better in picture than it is in reality. But the passenger front fender is straight and I might be able to fix the driver side fender. I can also use some other parts for my 65. It has a cool pto driven dump body that might get used also. Still lots of good parts left on the truck also. It was used hard for many years but will live on in my 65.
