Frankly I forget the Bring a Trailer even exists, so thank you for that. My habit of being to lazy to ever delete decades old saved emails has come in handy, I found the emails from the original dude I got the rolling chassis from & it was a 78 F250 & a picture from back when on a different forum.
That's right kids, sometimes being lazy pays off.
From 2017 & how I wish I still had this frame.
I really of an undecided mind of what I want to with this axle.
Option A: I've had a perverse desire to take a 3/4 ton front axle from the knuckles out & stick it under Bob the Bronco & throw the spare Dana 60 under the rear with the old 1 ton springs out of the F350. Purpose, looks cool.
Option B: Do some made science crap to the wifes 2wd F250. I've got a 79 4wd f150 frame that's trashed in the rear. I could cut out the front cross member & weld into her frame & retain the 1/2 ton front suspension setup with coils & radius arms. Cut the spring pads off this axle & get a set of the weld on C for the radius arms. Toss in the extra C6 / Np205 that's sitting in the yard. So 8 lug front with the heavier brakes up front, with the better riding 1/2 ton suspension. Because 2wd in my area in winter is all but pointless & I usually pull the trailer with her truck. Mine sits to damn high.
Shameless Bronco plug. The hateful pile of rust is growing on me again.
Awesome. Will hopefully have the F350, F250 & Bronco running & able to take. Maybe drag one of the neighbors along too, he's determined to pick up a 70 something Ford Courier of all things.
Very dependant on distance from the main paved road. We're only about a mile from it, another mile or so back & it can get real interesting real quick. Hills are the bigger issue. We've got lots & lots of hills.
